Stollen Cake Recipe With Marzipan

Ingredients

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9-inch round springform pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cardamom, and salt. Set aside.
In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix on low speed until just combined. Mix in the dried fruit, almonds, walnuts, and candied citrus peel. Fold in the marzipan cubes.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Once cooled, dust the top of the stollen cake with confectioners’ sugar.
